This morning, Wednesday, January 6, 2021, the former Web Master of this website passed away.
Melvyn Morris made significant contributions to this community, not just with the development and implementation of this website, but as board member and president, he implemented many of the policies and structures in place today that makes Villaggio such a great place to live.
Mel’s funeral service will take place at Palm Beach National Chapel in Lake Worth, Florida on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in the morning. While Judy, Mel’s wife, would love to be surrounded by all of you to both mourn Mel’s loss and celebrate his life, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the rules of the chapel, Judy is not able to have an open funeral or sit shiva at this time.
To honor Mel, below is an an attached link to a “Kudoboard” so that you can post a note, attach a picture, or video. Unfortunately this is the safest and best way again because of COVID-19 pandemic. Judy will be sure to read your sympathies and condolences.
Mel will also have a military burial at the South Florida National Cemetery on January 21, 2021 at 11:00 am. This will be outdoors and all who wish to join Judy are welcome. As Judy’s kids and grandchildren will have left Florida by this time, it would mean so much to her to have your company and support for this. The cemetery is located in Palm Beach County in Lake Worth on State Road 7/U.S. 441 just south of Lantana Road and north of Boynton Beach Boulevard.
In addition, Judy would like to provide information for donations to the Villaggio chapter of the PAP Corps and/or the American Diabetes Association. It would mean a lot to Judy if you would contribute to one of these causes in Mel’s memory.
The link to the Kudoboard to leave condolences is as follows. You will need to sign in with an email address in order to make a post on the board: https://www.kudoboard.com/boards/DgrO6o03#view

In closing, Mel was my motorcycle buddy, teacher, mentor and most of all my friend.
I will miss Mel very much and so will many of the residents in this community.
